GREETINGS TO YOU!
You know it. It’s that time of year again. Christmas brings with it all the joys.
What Is the True Meaning of Christmas To You?
√ Is it the lights festivals, the lights on the trees, on the roofs, on the lawn or in the windows,
√ and the shouts of “Merry Christmas” to those who pass us in the streets?
√ Is it the gifts?
√ Is it the greeting cards in the mail, in your inbox or electronic devices?
√ Is it the Christmas tree?
√ Is it to visit your family and friends?
√ Is it Shopping or Christmas sales?
√ Maybe the eating marathon, ham and turkey (or your traditional mean) dinners with family and friends?
√ Gifts exchange?
√ Is it to play your favorite Christmas game, i.e. the elephant game? (Note: It’s not my favorite for sure.)
√ Is it you get days off from your work?
√ Is it the snow in the yard or stockings hanging in the living room?
√ Is it the Christmas songs?
√ Is it to celebrate the birth of the Christ child who was born to Mary and Joseph?
Is this your real Christmas?
For many people, Christmas is a time of sadness and sorrow. They don’t have the money to buy presents for their children, family, and friends.
No donation for needy people.
Many are worried and saddened at Christmas time when they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home and join them for various reasons.
Fancy Turkey and ham (or your favorites) dinners may be only a wish and not a reality for some.
Yet, Christmas can be a season of wonderful joy. It is a time of us showing our great love, letting go and gift compassion for one another.
It can be a time of healing and renewed strength and passion.
No matter what our spiritual belief, what had happened or our reasons for celebrating Christmas, all are significant.
We can hope and pray that we can truly be happy at Christmas!
We can become a better student in life and can find a reason to smile to be happy.
Until Heaven will be our home one day.
For now, look at Christmas with a new meaning and in a new way this year.
This is the year to invite ourselves wholly into ourselves.
To celebrate our blessing and freedoms being alive and more.
In doing so, we will then have a very Merry Christmas – every year!
The joy and peace of mind we will receive will last all year and beyond as we find joy of this moment for all our needs.
