The Vegetarian 100 days challenge week 7 is the best week despite some challenges.
Although, some may argue the sexual desire is much stronger than the desire for food. That’s depending on an individual to control their mind.
It’s the MIND game.
“Nothing is at last sacred but the integrity of your own mind.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson, Self-Reliance
This week tofu was the winner in vegetarian food choice. There are so many ways you can prepare tofu. I just could not get tired of it…yet.
CHALLENGES:
This week has been yet another unexpected busy running urgent errands for families plus my stuff.
There was so much food whether I was at my relative home or was on the road.
But all food had meat. Being at my relative places was an easy fix. They had vegetables in the refrigerator. It’s quick and easy to sauté vegetables.
The hardest part was being on the road and at social events. If the food doesn’t have meat, there was a dairy product it.
My body does not like dairy products. It’s just being older and being the Asian thing, I guess.
That makes being a vegetarian a bit more challenging.
MENTAL DISCIPLINE:
Do you remember the last time when you were so hungry you felt like you could eat a whole cow?
To control the food temptation is the most difficult mind-controlling, especially when you’re starving.
I mean when you are starving, and your only option is a burger and French fries. Are you going to be picky and analyze the calories?
No!
Although, some may argue the sexual desire is much stronger than the desire for food. That’s depending on an individual to control their mind.
Nonetheless, the bottom line is the desire for food is the winner as nobody can survive without food.
PHYSICAL CHANGE:
I cut out eating sweets about 90% this week. I still have a little sweet.
Plus, I make time to jog a few times a week now.
Remaining on a positive note, I am not hungry as often! Wooohoo, this has been two weeks straight now.
That is why I think my body is adjusting to the new diet routine.
My energy level has been amazing. It’s the most surprising experience.
I thought I would have less energy without having meat. Wrong assumption. I have not been feeling tired since I’m on a vegetarian.
Overall, I feel my body is astonishing lighter and is adjusting better this week.
WHAT IS ON MY MIND?
Sour fish soup and working have been on my mind.
As time goes on, not been thinking or have craving much about eating meat.
Maybe I’m too busy and have no time to think about anything else.
“My doctor told me I had to stop throwing intimate dinners for four unless there are three other people.” -Orson Welles
Start you challenge yourself to stop doing something that you wanted to do a long time, but you haven’t done it yet.
Will I make it to week eight?
Stay tuned for next week’s update.
