The one-sentence we often hear around this time of the year is, “The holiday rush is on!”
That place you’re heading, at supercharged speed, the one that requires weaving through traffic on the road, speed walking, improvise and tensions.
How are you feeling now?
What will happen when you arrive at your destination?
No matter where we live now is the good time to let go of normal hustle, stress and expectations. You know the saying, “If you scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours too.”
Instead, focus on the surrounding people, within ourselves and the opportunities we have.
Thanksgiving is my favorite Holiday. 🙂
I’m not referring to the traditional Thanksgiving of a bountiful harvest before the long winter, the holiday of pilgrims, fest and apple pies.
I’m dreaming of something else…💭
A present Thanksgiving would celebrate three things:
1. The people in our lives who give us much support and love we need to make a difference.
2. The opportunities to build something bigger than ourselves. Something that is worth dedicating and contributing to makes us feel complete and fulfill.
3. To simply just be who we are❣️
At its best, Thanksgiving is a holiday about gratitude, family and possibilities. It brings people together to not only celebrate the end of the harvest but to look one in another in the heart and share good memories.
The dream fuels us, and our relationships with ourselves and others give us a good foundation to make a difference.
Thank you for everything you do, for the difference you make to yourself, your family, the people who care about you and the world we share.
I’m grateful to each of you, and so many others who have worked so hard to make things better.
I’m grateful for the generosity and compassionate people of this country. You help my family makes this place we can call our home sweet home.
Last but not least, I’m grateful to each of my family members and friends for your support, kindness and love.
Let’s speed up to open our hearts, understanding, compassion and have the patience for ourselves and for others.
Wherever we are, we can celebrate Thanksgiving today or at any time.
Thank you 🙏 ❣️
